A Japanese Courtyard Design
A strong idea can be beautifully interpreted throughout the entirety of a garden design, evident in its thoughtful structure, carefully selected furniture choices, and deliberate planting selections. With this specific project, our client not only thoughtfully embraced the Japanese theme in the garden itself but also seamlessly integrated this same theme into their adjoining office furnishings and decor. This cohesive and unified approach significantly enhances the overall aesthetic and atmosphere of both spaces, ultimately creating a harmonious environment that richly reflects their unique vision and personal style.
The garden prominently features a stunning Acer Palmatum Sango Kaku, which is celebrated for its delicate and finely shaped leaves that provide a beautiful display throughout the seasons. Alongside this elegant tree is the graceful Black Bamboo, which adds height and texture, swaying gently in the breeze, creating a serene and tranquil atmosphere in the outdoor space.
To complete the picturesque scene, a vibrant, bright red lacquered Japanese style chair, thoughtfully designed by our dedicated team of skilled craftsmen with great attention to detail, is perfectly positioned on the newly constructed office balcony, inviting visitors to sit back, relax, and fully appreciate the stunningly beautiful surroundings that nature has to offer in all its glory.
Our thoughtful design concept for the garden aimed to create a serene and private quiet space for our client. This included the careful planning and designing of an elegant entrance gate, a stylish trellis screen, and a beautifully curved cedar bench that invites relaxation. Additionally, we incorporated a durable galvanised steel outdoor staircase and a charming balcony to enhance the area's functionality. The design also features a soothing water feature, a welcoming patio area, entrance steps, and well-organized planting to highlight raised beds. All of these elements are harmoniously set within a walled garden setting, skillfully constructed by our trusted construction partners for the project.
The core pattern for the gate and trellis was thoughtfully designed initially, ensuring that it would harmonize with the overall aesthetic of the outdoor space. This intricate design was subsequently cut out of sturdy panels of Tricoya using a precise CNC machine, which allowed for detailed and accurate results. The same design principle was then effectively transferred to the staircase design, where the steel panels of the balustrade and the treads of the steps were skillfully formed using a state-of-the-art laser cutting machine. To provide stability and strength, a robust framework for both the gate and the trellis panels was created from high-quality Accoya wood. Both Tricoya and Accoya are types of chemically enhanced wood that consistently perform brilliantly in various outdoor and all weather conditions, making them ideal choices for durable garden features.
