A stunning moroccan show garden

Designing a Show Garden in a space of just 5m x 4.8m really focuses the mind! And this was the task that George Sykes set himself when he revisioned our spot at Corker Outdoor Living’s Paddock Wood amazing outdoor exhibition.

The aim was to stimulate our imagination and demonstrate Gardenproud’s skill at building gardens and outdoor buildings that work together in a cohesive theme. He came up with the idea of a Moroccan Arbor and courtyard. George set about creating his showpiece influenced greatly by images of the Riads and Alleyways of Marrakech, plus an enormous amount of research into the building design and techniques of the region.

The result is a masterpiece of design and construction. It looks so authentic and is something you could take home and see creating a unique nook in your garden. Think of it as a folly that creates a unique focal point, or a retreat to enjoy a great book, a summer house to complement a contemporary swimming pool, or a place to stimulate those creative juices, or just a shelter from the vagaries of our climate. Whatever, come rain, or shine you will be transported by George’s imagination.

Walk past the giant Trachycarpus fortunei, step over the cool mosaic pool and climb the limestone steps past the Phormium tenax, to the Breedon gravel courtyard before lounging on the cushioned bench and reflecting on the day inside the Balau floored garden building. We defy you not to be transported into a better place.
